Every Sunday night from 6:30-8:00 pm, Sunrise Middle School & High School students meet in the youth room for Youth Group! Sunrise Students is an engaging and welcoming community for our youth and their friends that surrounds youth with Christ-like love that fosters genuine relationships, anchors them in the joys and traditions of the Christian faith, creates a safe place to ask questions and seek answers, and encourages and equips them to extend the love of Christ to their communities.

This year, we will be diving into Spiritual Disciplines to discover different ways we can connect with God, be more like Jesus, and be transformed by the Holy Spirit. God created each of us unique, and that includes how we experience and live out our faith. Each week, we will focus on a different Spiritual Discipline, such as; praying scripture & breath prayer, lectio divina & Bible study, communion & sabbath, self-care & journaling, care of the earth & compassion, and many more. We pray that each student will learn new ways to seek our loving God and make space for God through different Spiritual Disciplines.

Winter Retreat 2027
Our 6th through 12th grade students and leaders will spend the weekend at CranHill Ranch in Big Rapids for their Winter Retreat. We will meet at Sunrise on Friday, January 8 at 5:30 pm, where students will ride in the leaders' cars up to camp, and we will return to Sunrise on Sunday, January 10 around 12:30 pm.
Elevate Winter Teen Retreats are designed specifically for Junior and Senior High students to get away, have a great time connecting with youth leaders and other students, and ultimately grow closer in their relationship with Jesus Christ. Each day will consist of worship & teaching, small group time, and free time. During free time, students will choose from a variety of activities, such as ice skating, archery tag, tubing, snowshoeing, ice wall climbing, game room, barn store, and trail rides.
Early Bird Pricing (before Oct. 25): $140
After Oct. 25 Pricing: $150
Optional Trail Ride Fee: $28
