I'm New

Welcome

Since we’re ordinary people living ordinary lives, our gatherings are pretty relaxed. Ordinary people fit in. We sing songs, explore passages of scripture, pray for our community and give donations. All of this is done to help us transform the world with God’s extraordinary grace and love.

What is a Worship Service like?

When you enter our lobby, you’ll find some friendly greeters welcoming you into the sanctuary. Before the service begins nursery kids go to their special Sunrise Kids programming, while the older kids worship with us before being dismissed to their rooms.  Kiddos are welcome to hang with us for the whole service. Don’t worry, we like a little noise. Our service begins with worship and we typically sing three to four songs. A full band leads the music, and our style is both modern and contemporary. Worship is followed by announcements and then a sermon. We typically close the service with one more song, and all in all, it’s about an hour to an hour and fifteen minutes total. You can feel free to mingle about and grab a  coffee after the service. If you find you have any questions, please visit the connect table in the lobby. We’re looking forward to seeing you soon!

What Should I Wear?

If you’re comfortable in it, wear it. We don’t have a dress code. People on the stage often wear things like jeans, hoodies, dresses, shorts -- whatever’s comfortable.

Where Do My Children Go?

Kids 0-2 are welcome to gather in the nursery during the service. In the nursery, while we want you to be able to attend service, our goal is to start teaching kids that this is a safe place where they are loved.

3-year-olds - Kids in PreK meet in the Orange Room. In the Orange Room, the kids will spend time free playing, and getting to know their peers and adults. The three things that we focus on at this age are that God loves me, God made me and Jesus wants to be my friend forever.

Kindergartners - 5th graders meet in the Large Group Room. In the large group room, kids have time to worship, pray, play, and connect with not only friends old and new but leaders who truly want to invest in them. The things that we focus on in this age group are, I can trust God no matter what, I need to make the wise choice, and I should treat others the way that I want to be treated.

We also know that at certain points in time you as a parent may choose to keep your kids with you in service. We provide tables in the sanctuary with fidgets, coloring sheets, and talking points for your family. We also publish a video weekly on our Sunrise Kids Facebook page for each of these age groups that your entire family can use to dig deeper into the Word throughout the week.

Where Do Students Go?

Students are invited to gather on Wednesday nights in the youth room from 6:30-8:00 PM. We strive to walk alongside our students with the love and grace of God. Each week, we engage in a group conversation about current-day challenges our students are facing. This is a safe space for students to ask questions, build their faith, and support each other in all aspects of life as we grow to know Jesus.

Where Do I Park?

Our building is sandwiched between our two parking lots, and you’re welcome to park in either lot. The North Parking Lot is closer to our children’s ministry rooms. The South Parking Lot is closer to our nursery and sanctuary.

How Do I Know If Church is Canceled Due to Inclement Weather?
