Dan has a heart and passion for seeing people connect with God through worship and connect with each other through relationship. Dan has been on staff at Sunrise since December 2010 and has loved every minute of it!
He and his lovely wife, Karissa, have three awesome kiddos: Lillian, Caleb, and Liam. Dan loves coffee, hiking, reading good books, and exploring the wine trails of northern Michigan.

Julie Matthysse
Children's Ministries Director & Ministry Assistant
Julie graduated from Kuyper College in 2020 and loves being involved in the Sunrise Community! In June 2019 she married her husband, Noah, and in August 2020 they welcomed their daughter, Alethea.
She enjoys hiking, reading, and LOTS of family game nights in her free time.

Dennis Moles
Lead Pastor
Dennis joined the Sunrise staff as Pastor in 2022 and is overjoyed to be serving in the community he calls home. He and Amy have lived in Jenison for the past 15 years. They are the parents of three adult children: Drew, Caleb, and Makayla. Aside from his family, Dennis’s greatest loves in life are preaching, eating chicken wings, drinking coffee, and having meaningful conversations. In his spare time, he enjoys writing for Our Daily Bread Ministries and IMPACTUS (Promise Keepers Canada) as well as teaching at North Point College in Grand Rapids, MI.
Cory Williamson
Young Adults Pastor
Cory is local to the Grand Rapids area and is thrilled to be serving in a place he and his wife Lindsay know as home. Cory Graduated in 2019 from Northpoint Bible College and has been serving vocationally in various ministries ever since.
In his free time, Cory enjoys drinking coffee, watching The Office, cheering on the Michigan Wolverines in football, going on dates with his wife Lindsay, and playing with his dog Louie.
